Asylum Diaries is a single-channel video installation where a man born in Afghanistan reconstructs his childhood house into an architectural scale model. The man needed to escape his home when he was very young. During the reconstruction process the man goes through his life story from the childhood to the present day. The video juxtaposes the man´s story to a process of building the model. In the video installation the scale model is presented next to the video. The work has been produced as part of the Refugee Air art project.
